Close to Home is constanly shifting the lineup to bring the Ultimate Party to the venues they play. Over the years they have had the privelage of sharing the stage with several of the area's most talented musicians such as Chuck Nemitz(rust never sleeps), James Cohen(ryan montbleau band), Dennis McCarthy and our man "Pook" (flipside)
And now, its Time to Meet the Band...
Mike Carlucci-
Growing up in the 70's, Mike became a fan of musical monsters such as the Allman Brothers, Led Zeppelin, Santana, Jimi Hendrix, the Beatles, the Band, Stones and Stevie Wonder.
He began his career during his early 20's playing drums for Last Call. It was during a chance meeting with songwriter/bass player, Jay Sullivan, when the two decided to create Felix Brown.
Years later, he found himself performing in Lake Tahoe California, eventually earning a full time gig with Cool Black Kettle. Led by singer/songwiter, Jesse Kalin Carson the band eventually hit the road and gave Mike the experience of a lifetime!
The next stop was San Diego touring with Stillwater Junction and the Nick Simon Band
By the fall of 2000, he returned to his roots in Boston gigging with Chuck Nemitz, Big River, Broken Rose, Humbleweed and Gold Dust.
Never losing his dream of creating his own original roots rock project, Mike finally teamed up with songwriter, Chris Nemitz to create what is now Close to Home...
Recently, Mike joined the jam band ZAGNUTT as their new drummer to replace Gary Vitigliano. He currently now plays double duty for CTH and Zagnutt and is having the time of his life doing it!
Chris Nemitz-
Though he's been playing music since he was 3 yrs old, Chris Nemtiz, is most recognized for his contributions as the guitarist for Another Planet and the keyboard player for the Candles.
His many years as a professional in the Boston area has earned him a reputation for being a phenomenal musician and talented songwriter.
When he's not hangin with his two children, Mathew and Dory, he enjoys creating music and riding his Harley.
Chris teamed up with Mike to create what is now Close to Home. after working a few gigs with Humleweed in the Fall of 2002. Since then, the songwriting duo has developed a fruitfull partnership creating a vintage style of roots rock music with a modern flavor.
Dennis McCarthy
Is the guy who can do it all for Close to Home! He sings, plays guitar, drums, keys and knows how to run a full PA system. All while raising two kids with his wife Nancy!
Gaining noteriety as the former drummer for Boatyard Resin he was quickly picked up to play a few songs with C.T.H.
"Dennis knows all the cool songs. Without hime we'd still be stuck in the 70's!"

What can I say about Brian? I've been playing drums for over 12 years and he's simply the BEST bassist I've ever had the pleaure of playing with!
Known for his many years of work with Another Planet, Jiggle the Handle, Revival and the Candles, Brian is one of the most sought after musicians in the jam scene.
His grooves have graced many recordings as well as our first album, Home Grown. Now he's on full time and Close to Home is happy to have him!
Darin Mclean (proper spelling)
This percussionist extrodinare is rumored to have up to 8 arms but somehow he continues to hide them from the public eye. As the accent for the rythym section he adds flavor to the band's sound.
Darren is also the "Curator of Festivities" and instinctivelely knows when to pick it up a knotch by using his uncanny sense of good times and fun.
